Eppens Arkitektur was founded in 1989 and is based on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. We are currently 7 coworkers.

 

We have a conscious ambition of working on many different types of projects: the firm has experience from the construction of new commercial real estate, private houses, holiday homes and industrial buildings, as well as extensive knowledge of the extension and reconstruction of culturally sensitive environments. This approach creates a cross-fertilization that enriches the various projects.

 

In our projects, we strive, and have a great habit to take overarching responsibility for the projects from sketch to finished building, in all scales from furniture detail to urban planning. We work conscientiously based on the conditions of the client and the project to create robust and long-term architectural qualities in terms of design, sustainability and economy. We strive to give the room character and clarity through a carefully balanced material and color palette, where the form is reinforced by and interacts with its surroundings in a balanced way. Architecture should feel obvious.

 

We have the privilege of having the ongoing responsibility for the restoration and reimagination of the student’s union building (Kårhuset), at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Industrivärden's Art Nouveau property on Storgatan 10, where we have also been responsible for large, complicated and delicate renovations and restorations.
